The combination of long swim seasons, intense UV, hard fill water, and heavy seasonal pollen means consistent chemistry — not occasional clean-ups — is what keeps a pool clear, safe, and easy on equipment.
Why weekly service matters in the North Texas climate
Direct sun burns through chlorine faster than most homeowners realize. By the time a pool looks cloudy, the chemistry has been off for days and the work to recover it is far more expensive than the visit that would have prevented it.
Weekly visits keep free chlorine, pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, and stabilizer in their proper bands so the water stays clear and the plaster and equipment stay protected.
What a real weekly visit should include
A proper weekly service is a thorough visit, not a five-minute drive-by. It should always include skimming, brushing, vacuuming as needed, emptying baskets, a full chemistry panel with adjustments, and a quick equipment check.

Winter cadence — bi-weekly, not nothing
Even in the colder months a North Texas pool needs chemistry checks. Algae growth slows but does not stop, stabilizer can drop after winter rains, and pH tends to drift. Bi-weekly visits through winter are far cheaper than a green pool in March.
